School Dates

Please find below important events in our diary. Please note that these dates may be subject to change and you will be informed of any changes as soon as possible. Changes may be notified by our weekly newsletter, class curriculum newsletters or text/Twitter.

Our School Day

Children should be in school in good time for the start of the morning session. The times of the sessions are as follows (KS1 timings are in brackets):

Morning session: 8.50am - (12:00pm) 12.20pm
Afternoon session: (1:00pm) 1.10pm - 3.20pm

This provides a teaching week of 32 hours and 30 minutes.

There is a morning break of 15 minutes for all children and an afternoon break for Key Stage 1 and Reception children of 15 minutes in the afternoon.

The school promotes a Green Travel plan which aims to encourage walking to school and car sharing. When arriving by car, parents should ensure that they park responsibly and should avoid parking on the yellow road markings. Parents must not bring cars onto the school grounds. The riding of bicycles or scooters in the school grounds is prohibited for safety reasons. These can be ridden to school and left by the main office.

If a child takes part in after school activities, parents must ensure that adequate arrangements have been made for the child's journey home.

Supervision by staff can only be guaranteed between 8.50pm and 3.20pm. On safety grounds, it would be appreciated if children did not arrive at school too early and were collected promptly at the end of the day.
