Jubilee Year - Pilgrims of Hope

Pope Francis has declared 2025 a ‘Jubilee Year of Prayer’. Every 25 years, we have a Jubilee Year, a moment of significance in the Church when we refocus and open ourselves to special graces. This Jubilee Year is entitled ‘Pilgrims of Hope’ and started on 24th December 2024 with the opening of the Holy Door in Rome. The Jubilee Year will formally conclude in Rome on the Solemnity of Epiphany, 6 January 2026.
Nationally in Catholic schools, the official launch day for the Jubilee Year will be Friday 24th January 24th- a month after it officially began due to the school holidays. We will be having a special launch day in school to celebrate this occasion, with various activities during the day. Throughout the year, we have planned many ways we can celebrate and participate in this Jubilee Year in school.
Keep an eye on this page over the year to see what we get up to as we journey in our faith to become 'Pilgrims of Hope'.
